Cool press event venues in Bloomsbury

Bloomsbury has many a cool venue to its name, lots of which would serve as a great alternative setting for a press event, and some of the best of which we’ve featured below.

The Bloomsbury Ballroom

One of London’s most opulent Art Deco venues, Victoria House is home to The Bloomsbury Ballroom, an aesthetically arresting space with a wealth of period features to marvel at. The venue has been lovingly restored to allow these features to live on in all their glory, but modern conveniences are also on hand, including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, disabled access, and sound and lighting systems. You can also benefit from great event management service, with the team ensuring all your requirements are met.

Faber Creative Spaces

The Faber Creative Spaces is comprised of 5 rooms, tucked up in the eaves of a Grade II listed building that is home to Faber & Faber, the world-renowned publishing house that has worked with celebrated writers such as Ted Hughes, T.S. Eliot and Samuel Beckett, to name just a few. The sleek, modern design of the spaces lends them a professional and adaptable quality. Well connected to the rest of the city, the nearest rail link – Holborn – can be reached in just 5 minutes.

Curzon Bloomsbury

Found just off Russell Square, a mere 2-minute walk from the station of the same name, you’ll find Curzon Bloomsbury, a historic building that was recently refurbished to bring the interior bang up-to-date with regards to technology and design, including the inclusion of Sony 4K projectors in all of the screening rooms. Bars on all 3 levels serve as great breakaway and reception spaces, with the venue offering a 150-person capacity in all.

The Foundling Museum

Another Grade II listed offering, The Founding Museum is based in a Georgian-style building and boasts a unique combination of historic, period suits and highly contemporary exhibition rooms, meaning there’s a space to suit every taste here, be it grand and opulent that most appeals to you, or minimalistic blank canvases. The combined capacity is around 250, and Euston, Kings Cross St Pancras and Russell Square stations are all within comfortable walking distance.

West Central Studio

Speaking of blank canvas spaces, West Central Studio is a prime example of exactly that. Completed with a simple, white wall finish, it has a bright, airy and fresh feel, and benefits from full daylight and blackout options. With an intimate capacity of just 50, it’s well suited to more low-key press events, where you could afford to bring a more personal, hands-on approach to the hosting. As for getting there, Holborn and Covent Garden stations are both reachable within 5 minutes or less.
