End of summer party venues in London

Before we head into the full grip of autumn/winter, why not give summer one last hooray with a proper end of season party? Here are some fantastic London venues in which to do exactly that, in style.

STYX is a mixed arts venue that, though a relative newcomer to the London events scene, has already played host to all manner of acts and occasions. Comprised of a vast industrial warehouse space and a garden complete with its own mini-river, bridge and (most importantly) a pizza oven, it really is a unique offering. Its generous proportions mean it can accommodate as many as 500 guests, whilst being mere seconds from Tottenham Hale and the Victoria Line, it is also well connected to the rest of the city.

MOTHER Juice Works

Specifically designed with creativity and tranquillity in mind, MOTHER Juice Works has a fresh and airy feel that is ideally suited to a summer soiree, courtesy of live plants and large windows that flood the interior with natural light, establishing a bright, natural vibe. Though very adaptable in terms of its use, its somewhat smaller capacity of just 80 ensures that things never feel too cramped, allowing you to bring a more personal and laid-back touch to the hosting.

Dulwich Picture Gallery

Surely one of the city’s best kept secrets, Dulwich Picture Gallery is in fact a fascinating little slice of history, being the world’s first purpose built public art gallery, having been founded way back in 1811. An architectural masterpiece, its sense of grandeur has remained intact, meaning it serves as a stunning backdrop whatever the occasion, whilst the beautifully landscaped gardens complete with marquee are perfect for enjoying the last of the summer sunshine.

Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace itself is truly a sight to behold, but the view on offer from it, across the 196 acres of parkland that surround it and the panoramic perspective of the city’s skyline beyond can certainly rival it. With no less than 9 pillar-free, interlocking spaces on offer in the palace, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the scale and layout of your event, which can accommodate anywhere between 10 and 10,000 people. Meanwhile, the outdoor and terraced areas mean you won’t be stuck indoors should the good weather of late summer grace us with its presence.

Alfred Leroy

Alfred Leroy, named after a pub landlord from back in the 70s, offers up a truly singular experience, given that it is in fact a wide beam canal boat, lovingly converted and redesigned by the CRATE team to give it a whole new lease of life as a one-of-a-kind cocktail bar, ideal for intimate parties of around 50 people. JARR kombucha cocktails, CRATE beers, wine, prosecco and artisan sharing platters are all on the menu. Back on dry land, Hackney Wick station can be reached in just 2 minutes.
