Hackney is well known for its bustling atmosphere, one which lends itself so well to a party and any other manner of event. So if you are looking for a venue for this summer, keep in mind the following options.
Once a long abandoned building, The Trampery has been given a whole new lease of life, lovingly converted into a hub of creativity and innovation. With several different spaces available for hire, events can be held here for anywhere between 4 and 250 people, meaning it really is a diverse offering, able to suit many different occasions. With the aim of bringing people together to form new ideas whilst encouraging positive reinforcement of talent and invention, the luxury of The Trampery is ideally suited to any creative minds out there.
Found within the buzzing hive that is Queen’s Yard, Mick’s Garage sits just across from CRATE Brewery tap room. As such, the resident bar – Jarr Bar – serves CRATE’s core range and house brewed Kombucha. You can also expect to find a coffee roaster and SHUK SHUK, a market BBQ. Open throughout the weekend from Friday evening, this impressive 1000 capacity space has played host to all sorts of private and public events. The nearest tube station is Stratford, which can be reached in just over 15 minutes, with Hackney Wick overground reachable in just 2.
Alfred Leroy is a canal boat named after a pub landlord from back in the 1970s. Far from your average canal boat however, the CRATE team redesigned the interior, converting it into a cocktail bar complete with tables, seating and even an integrated sound system. Offering a totally unique experience for up to 50 people, at Alfred you can expect to enjoy JARR Kombucha cocktails as well as a great selection of CRATE beers, wines and prosecco, whilst tucking into sharing platters of Neal’s Yard Dairy cheeses, charcuterie and delicious artisan breads.
