Truly unique wedding venues in London

London certainly isn’t lacking when it comes to great classic wedding venues, and whilst that’s all well and good, some of us want something that stands apart from the norm to make the day feel that little bit special. If that sounds familiar, take a look at these truly unique offerings.

How about celebrating your wedding in what was once a Victorian railway station? Kachette is exactly that; a little piece of London’s history tucked beneath 2 railway arches which have been lovingly renovated to allow them to function as a multi-purpose event space without losing any of the charm brought on by the space’s heritage. The team pride themselves on working alongside their clients to produce long lasting professional relationships, creating entirely bespoke services to suit each party’s needs.

Bones and Pearl

Bones and Pearl has several different areas (which add up to offer a total capacity of 250) and it is this flexible layout that allows it to cater to so many different event types. Downstairs, there is the parlour with an onsite kitchen, whilst upstairs you will find the gallery and bar. Should you be planning a summer wedding – or just happen to strike lucky with the weather – there is also a garden for additional space, complete with seating area, cocktail Tiki bar and BBQ.

Interchange Atrium

If you know of Tom Dixon’s work then you’ll know to expect top quality and strikingly contemporary flair when you hear that Interchange Atrium is another of his celebrated designs. Bold in terms of its architecture, stylish in terms of its finish, and yet neutral enough to be able to host all manner of different occasions, this Camden Town venue is sure to become another of the city’s most sought-after event hotspots, bolstered by the generous 450 person capacity.

East Wintergarden

East Wintergarden is found at the heart of Canary Wharf, just a few minutes from the tube station that bears the area’s name. Undoubtedly the most distinguishing feature here is the 27 metre high domed glass ceiling in the main space which ensures the interior feels bright, airy and spacious. In addition to this area however, there is the Gallery which can be hired for private functions such as a wedding reception, and the Promenade Room, another separate space suited to more intimate gatherings.

CNB Gallery

CNB Gallery is a great space for private parties and alternative corporate events. At this unique Shoreditch based venue, you will find Mark Hix’s chicken-and-steak restaurant and an installation by none other than Damien Hirst. Housed within a former East End tram-generator building, there’s plenty of character to be found, and with Old Street and Shoreditch High Street Stations within easy walking distance, it’s a breeze to reach from across the city.
