Hackney Showroom is an impressive warehouse conversion near Rectory Road station that is adaptable enough to be used as the backdrop for all manner of different occasions, not least a fabulous festive soiree. The flexible studio space and neon bar can hold up to 400 guests in all, and with full event management available when it comes to organising the likes of catering, technical equipment and décor, you needn’t worry about having to take care of the legwork, as someone else will do it for you!
You wouldn’t know it to look at it, but Grow Hackney began its life as a sausage factory. Having since been completely transformed, it now serves as a bar, kitchen and multi-purpose event space. Found in a yard in the heart of Hackney Wick (just a few minutes from the station of the same name), there is both indoor and outdoor space available, with the venue even backing onto the canal. Built and operated by a small local team, they champion ethical, sustainable business.
Specifically designed with creativity and tranquillity in mind, the bright, airy feel on offer at MOTHER Juice Works belies the intimate capacity of just 80. The calming nature of the space is brought about courtesy of the generous selection of plants and the glass frontage, which combine to create the sense of bringing the outside in, whilst also providing good natural lighting throughout the day. The nearest train station is Stratford International, which can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot, making it accessible for those travelling from both inside the capital and from further afield.
Located in the ever-buzzing hub of activity that is Queen’s Yard, Mick’s Garage is comprised of Jarr Bar, which serves the core rage of CRATE beers and homebrewed kombucha; a coffee roaster; and SHUK SHUK, a market BBQ that dishes out tasty delights. With an open, casual feel and a vast capacity of 1000, it’s the ideal industrial space for those in search of a relaxed and informal gathering with friends. Just 2 minutes from the nearest rail link, it’s also well connected to the rest of the city.
For those who prefer something a little more modern in finish, White Post Hackney is a spacious venue located right on the canal. Full of natural light during the day and a cosy atmosphere after dark, the contemporary space is ideal for photo shoots and creative meetings as well as Christmas parties and corporate celebrations. With a capacity of up to 300, the White Post can be hired in full or you can just reserve a space.
