All capacities are an approximation only, it is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure the venue meets all adequate H&S and fire assessments for the number of guests, crew and performance at any event.

Being one part of a much larger event process we've included a few useful links that will aid and assist your production, some for guideline only, and others essential.

Licensing

Whether an event requires a license or not depends on the specifics of the event and it is the responsibility of the production to ensure that any relevant licenses are in place prior to the hire. Contact the Borough that the venue is within in order to apply for the relevant license - TEN (temporary event notice) or Premise License. All applications should only be made with the venue managers / owners prior approval. There is a list of all Borough contacts at the bottom of this page.

Event Insurance

We require each hirer to have Public Liability Insurance for every hire that we administrate. This is usually obtained via your current insurance provider, but below are a few helpful sources:

H&S

It is the responsibility of the production to ensure the venue is fit for purpose and all relevant health & safety and fire checks are in place relevant to the building for the number of guests, staff and production set up
