Islington Metalworks began its life as the home for the horses used to pull trams for London Transport. Fully licenced and coming with its very own kitchen and catering team, it has become a popular choice for weddings, but it is able to play host to all sorts of occasions, from club nights to conferences. Characterful touches remain which hark back to the building’s past, whilst the quirky décor and bold styling brings a sense of fun. Tucked behind Angel tube station, it couldn’t be easier to reach if the underground is your preferred mode of transport.

Dinerama

DineramaDinerama is the ultimate food and drink arena, able to accommodate a whopping 1000 people at any given time. Ideal for bringing an urban, laid-back vibe to your reception, there is certainly no risk of any shortages when it comes to refreshments, with some of the city’s best street food traders and no less than 6 different bars offering all manner of wines, beers and cocktails from around the world. The various spaces can be hired individually depending on your particular needs, and since it operates open-air in the summer and covered in the winter, it is available year round.

This unique space has a wonderful stripped-back feel and comes complete with a striking roof and skylights which let in plenty of natural light, not to mention a host of eclectic props and furnishings. Speaking of the guests, the venue is able to hold up to 250 of them and with both Hackney Downs and Hackney Central stations just a stone’s throw away, they should be able to reach you easily.

As such, it has a very generous capacity, able to accommodate up to 850 guests. London’s largest South African restaurant in fact, its doors were opened in 2010 with a royal blessing from the Zulu King himself, HRH Goodwill Zwelithini. Found in the popular area of Camden, with good transport links nearby, this unique venue boasts amazing food, drinks, live music and plenty of dancing, making it an ideal place to hold a wedding reception.

From Bleeding Heart Yard’s private dining room through to its unusual hire space of a Medieval Crypt, there is an array of rooms available for wedding receptions, as well as other types of events. Bleeding Heart Yard can host anything from 50 to 120 guests, and is more than prepared to kit up for a Medieval-style wedding banquet.
