Blank canvas spaces outside Central London

The possibilities with a blank canvas venue are practically endless, hence why they are becoming an increasingly popular choice for all kinds of different occasions, both private and corporate alike. Central London may often be considered the hub of the city, but don’t let that fool you into thinking there aren’t still plenty of great venues out with it, with those featured below proving that the opposite is very much the reality.

Square Suite

Based in South Woodward on the border between London and Essex, Square Suite is a multi-purpose venue made up of 2 different rooms. The first of these specialises in events and enterprise, whilst the other is used for photography and media. New, modern and luxurious, it is suitable for everything from workshops and conferences to parties and pop-ups. The area’s namesake tube station – South Woodward – can be reached in around 15 minutes, keeping you connected to the city centre if need be.

Putney Studio

The various flexible spaces found within Putney Studio, which include infinity coves and stages, make this a particularly popular choice as a photographic studio. Its simple white wall finish and bright, contemporary feel mean it can be tailored to suit all manner of different event types however. Big windows let in lots of natural light to enhance the bright, airy feel, belying the intimate 60-person capacity. Both Putney and East Putney tube stops can be reached in 10 minutes or less, should you or any guests be travelling from throughout London.

Park Village Studio

Housed within a historic building, there are many quirky details in the design and architecture, both inside and out. Incredibly versatile in its use, the venue has hosted everything from wedding receptions and birthday parties to press launches and fashion shows, meaning they’re well versed in adapting to individual styles and needs.

In addition to the adaptable, open space on the inside, you can make use of the outdoor area, perfect for taking in some fresh air in the breezy summers or gathering round a fire pit in the cold winters. Found in North Kensington, Latimer Road is the nearest tube stop.

Born Basement

A street-access loading bay makes set-up easy, and this space can also serve as a handy welcome area to lead guests into the main space. Found in the heart of the ever-popular Islington, the nearest transport options include Angel and King’s Cross tube stations, but it also benefits from having onsite parking outside of the congestion charge zone.
