Best book launch venues in East London

If you’re launching a new book, you want to give it the best possible send off out into the cut-throat world of publishing, to hopefully set it on a path to success. With that in mind, here are some of East London’s best venues to really help you set the scene and make a great first impression, whilst celebrating all the hard work that went into creating the book itself.

The Brewhouse

The Brewhouse sits beneath 2 railway arches and also features a separate conservatory and a courtyard, which serves as a lovely little sun trap. Creative styling is encouraged, meaning you can tailor the space to suit the occasion, so you could even go as far as to theme the space according to the content of the book being launched. Both arches have a bar, and there’s a fully functioning kitchen and team of chefs on hand to take care of any catering as well as barbecue potential in the aforementioned courtyard.

Also set within 2 railway arches is Eastbound, a venue that really makes the most of the authentic and historic London vibes that the architecture and rustic, urban design naturally bring to the table. You can hire the function room or opt for full event hire for up to 150 guests, with the nearest transport links including Cambridge Heath overground and Bethnal Green underground station, both of which are just a short walk away.

The Gable

In addition to the main space at The Gable, there is the Cellar, a brilliant private space tucked away below ground level that lends itself to more intimate gatherings which would allow you the chance to bring a more personal touch to the hosting. Altogether however, the venue is generous in space, able to accommodate up to 620 people. Found in Moorgate, the venue sits just a few minutes from the tube stop of the same name, keeping you well connected to the rest of London.

Elder Street

Elder Street is an incredibly versatile offering, with a range of different spaces at your disposal, each complete with its own distinct style and features. These include the beautiful vertical garden and courtyard, The Workshop, The Undercroft, Upper Lobby, the Canteen and a Kitchen, keeping your options well and truly open. Having hosted a number of corporate events, it has a professional air, whilst the nearest transport options are Shoreditch High Street and Liverpool Street.

Proud East

Proud East has a wonderful chilled feel that makes it a great choice for those who want a more low-key launch party. This charming café, restaurant, cocktail bar, pool room and event space is very adaptable and is found in a prime location just off the popular Kingsland Road, by the regent’s canal. All-in-all, the capacity allows for up to 300 guests to attend, with Haggerston and Hoxton stations both within comfortable walking distance for those getting there via public transport.
