Having reached the halfway point of the year, it’ll be no time at all until the buzz of the festive season is well and truly upon us. That said, you’ll want to think about booking a venue for your Christmas parties sooner rather than later if you want to make sure the best and most unique offerings, like those featured below, haven’t all been snapped up already.
The Shoreditch member of the Dirty Bones family lives up to the brand’s reputation for good time vibes, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the very best old-school beats this side of Brooklyn, in a retro-chic, apartment-style space inspired by the super cool urban and artistic boroughs of New York City. In terms of the practicalities, the capacity allows for up to 170 guests to attend and the nearest transport link, Shoreditch High Street, can be reached in just a couple of minutes.
The 7th floor of Ace Hotel London Shoreditch boasts 6000 square feet of flexible event space, split into 6 different areas, suitable for gatherings of as many as 400 people. Dramatic views of the city’s iconic skyline are available throughout, but never more so than when stepping out onto the generous open-air terrace area. Even whilst inside, the large windows ensure you’re always making the most of that great perspective of the city and plenty of natural light.
The modern finishes throughout The Singer Tavern contrast with the history of the building itself, which is Grade II listed, with bold colours and design choices accented by the likes of exposed brickwork and wood panelling. The airy main bar area serves up craft beer and an extensive range of wine and boutique spirits, whilst the in-house kitchen and cocktail bar below, as well as providing extra space, ensure that the food and drink can be tailored to suit your needs.
The eclectic styling at Number 177 Bar and Kitchen has an interesting old-meets-new flair to it, thanks to the building’s inherent character and the relationship the venue has with great artists who inject fun into the space. Celebrating diverse art, music, food and drink, you can expect to enjoy delicious food prepared using local produce and classic cocktails with a signature 177 twist. There’s ample space for up to 350 guests in all, and the nearest rail links include Hoxton and Old Street.
The lounge at Big Chill Bar is a semi-private space that is available throughout the week, with dim lighting granting it a cosy atmosphere, whilst direct access to the bar and dancefloor ensures there’s still plenty of party spirit. With a 12am licence Monday-Thursday and a 1am licence Friday-Saturday, there will be no need to wrap things up in a hurry, with other highlights including great music from top DJs, free Wi-Fi, projectors and an additional terrace space.
