Some of London’s best kept secret venues

Reading Time: 3 minutes

London is packed full of all manner of hidden gem venues just waiting to be discovered, each offering its own distinct character and appeal which often helps to elevate their appeal beyond that of their better-known counterparts. Here is a selection of some of our favourites.

The King of Ladies Man

The King of Ladies ManYou don’t get more hush-hush than an undercover bar, do you? The King of Ladies Man is hidden away via a laundrette in The Breakfast Club in Battersea, and it’s certainly not a place you’ll be your washing. It’s the cool and classically kitsch bar that you’d expect to have from the likes of The Breakfast Club, ideal for parties and celebrations of all types. You’ll find the 70s-themed cocktail menu has more than enough to quench the thirst of you and your guests – Granny Smith’s Martini anyone?

TRAMP

tramp

Located in the heart of bustling Mayfair, TRAMP has played host to international legends of music, celebrated acting greats and some of our most beloved showbiz stars since opening its doors back in 1969. Bubbling with a truly immersive atmosphere, this private members’ club, restaurant and cocktail bar has become a go-to venue for those in the know seeking some of the city’s best nightlife. Well situated for those travelling via public transport, it is around 5 minutes from both Piccadilly Circus and Green Park stations.

The Underdog Gallery

Underdog GalleryJust a short distance from London Bridge station and just off the ever-fun and ever-popular Bermondsey Street, The Underdog Gallery is a real hidden gem. Available as a contemporary gallery, it’s a great spot for exhibitions, pop-ups, private parties, photo shoots – and well, all kinds of events really. The gallery is a real blank canvas type of venue, but has the unique edge that could set your event apart from the rest.

Union Club Studios

union club studios

With the interior stripped back to reveal bare walls and an industrial, turn of the century warehouse vibe, Union Club Studios is bang on trend for those looking to capitalise on the craze for urban chic, which seems only to strengthen as time goes on. The venue can also accommodate a broad range of event types, including pop-ups, product launches, private parties and photoshoots. There are several different floors and spaces on offer, including the 150-capacity first floor party space.

Hush Mayfair

Hush MayfairDiscreetly tucked away on a charming cobbled courtyard off Bond Street, Hush Mayfair is a townhouse which has been transformed into a luxurious restaurant and event space, which hosts everything from business lunches to engagement parties, and everything else in between. The capacity allows for up to 100 guests, whilst the nearest transport options include Bond Street and Oxford Circus tube stations, which can be reached comfortably in just 4 and 7 minutes on foot respectively.
