The Space

The Laboratory, is a blank canvas venue housed in the former Lea Bridge Tramway Depot, one of the few remaining examples of a 19th century Victorian horse-drawn tram complex in Britain.

With 2,000 square feet of unobstructed space, it is a multi-purpose studio, that can be transformed to suit your production. It is ideal for creatives looking for a setting that will give them the freedom and the creativity to customise, personalise and really make the space their own.

Our characterful venue still retains many of the buildings original features including the beautiful wooden beams and impressive original stone stable flooring where the horses were once housed.

The Laboratory is used for all kinds of functions from corporate events to weddings and fashion shows, through to small and large-scale editorial shoots and video productions.

We offer optional vintage furniture hire and catering from our favourite suppliers who cater for our weddings, events and photoshoots, and understand the space.
