The Space

The Long Room is a space that creates a breath-taking first impression. Suffused in history and full of charm, the Long Room is one of the most coveted spaces in Armoury House. The large space features beautiful wood-panelled walls and ornate red, gold and white detailing throughout help create a truly impressive space. Large windows sit facing the Artillery Garden and not only flood the room with natural light.

One of its most alluring features is the minstrels’ gallery – a perfect spot to place a string quartet or band to welcome your guests’ arrival without encroaching on your floor space. The Long Room is a space that creates a breath-taking first impression.

During the evening, the Long Room can be lit with warm lighting or even candles to continue the atmosphere and luxury further into the night.

Other spaces available to hire

The Artillery Garden, a five-acre lawn situated in front of the Armory House, is also available to hire and is the perfect choice for photography, drinks receptions or outdoor event activities.

For more intimate events or to be used in conjunction with Armoury House, the Queen's and Ante Rooms are a great choice. Located on the ground floor in the Armory House, these spaced are packed with character, charm and also benefit from natural light.
