Top 10 venues for festive celebrations in London 2025

Reading Time: 7 minutes

Now, I don’t know about you, but the Christmas season is easily one of my top three yearly celebrations and somehow, it is already just around the corner.

Get ready for rich hot cocoa topped with teeny-tiny marshmallows, endless Hallmark marathons, and stacks of Christmas cards — minus one from the office busybody you have beef (or turkey, teehee) with. And of course, epic Christmas parties.

Whether you’re planning an intimate festive dinner, a stylish drinks reception, or a full-scale corporate celebration, Canvas has got you covered with some of the best venues to dance (or drink, or eat) the night away.

Where to Host Your Corporate Christmas Party This Year:

Town Hall Spaces

A Christmas party with character, charm, and carol singers

For those who want their Christmas bash to come with a splash of heritage and a big dose of personality, the brand-new Town Hall is one of the absolute best event spaces you could choose from.

Think sweeping staircases, wood-panelled chambers, and lofty halls — the kind of setting that makes even the most low-key office party feel like a scene out of Love Actually (okay, it’s about time we start the Christmas movie marathons). Whether you’re planning a candlelit dinner, a buzzing reception, or a festive knees-up that goes until the small hours, Town Hall has absolutely everything.

This newly opened spot has all the vibes: beautifully restored rooms, loads of character, and the seminal option to bring in champagne towers and branded gifts. You can go full-on festive with live bands, DJs, and, wait for it, even carol singers! Incredible, 10/10.

The Conduit

A Covent Garden Christmas with sparkle and heart <3

Nestled in the very heart of Covent Garden, The Conduit is a venue with style, substance, and a healthy dose of festive sparkle.

As you may or may not already know, each festive season, Covent Garden transforms into a glittering winter wonderland, with twinkling lights illuminating the Piazza, Market Building, Neal’s Yard, Seven Dials, and surrounding streets, and it’s absolutely bloody gorgeous. And there, right at the centre of the magic, is The Conduit. Legendary.

With versatile spaces, the warmest atmosphere, and cheerful vibes that feel straight out of a Dolly Parton Christmas special (my fave), along with super easy access to the buzz of Covent Garden’s holiday celebrations, The Conduit is the perfect spot for parties both deliciously corporate and whimsically private.

Tate Modern

Industrial chic transformed with festive sparkle

Few venues deliver the dayummm factor quite like Tate Modern. Once a power station (a factoid even I didn’t know until recently), this riverside landmark is now one of London’s most remarkable cultural spaces. As you can imagine, during the festive season, it completely transforms into the most extraordinary canvas for unforgettable Christmas celebrations.

Whether you’re hosting an intimate dinner (epic) or a large-scale festive extravaganza, Tate Modern is versatile enough to suit every occasion. Tate Modern offers unparalleled views from its event spaces—whether this be from the highest floor (Level 10 of the Blavatnik Building), the glass-fronted East Room, or the Restaurant overlooking the Thames. And yes, I did just drop some of the coolest event spaces all in one sentence.

And of course, don’t forget the food! With bespoke catering from Tate’s culinary team, your event can also have the very best of British winter produce, right at your very fingertips.

Sadler’s Wells East

A bold and contemporary Christmas with a creative twist

This year, Sadler’s Wells East is channelling all of their festive energy into a bright and bold adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and it is going to be so darn glorious, you simply have to be there. As such, guests can expect a stylish black and white decor, signature festive cocktails, and menus with a little extra oomph.

But that’s not all! Imagine canapé and bowl food receptions, festive food stations, or elegant seated meals, all with sweeping views of Stratford. You can also choose to add on a dance floor, photo booth (ngl I think this is necessary), DJ, and drinks upgrades. It’s all pretty neat.

London Transport Museum

Step aboard for a nostalgic Christmas journey

Based in Covent Garden’s buzzing, fairy-lit piazza, the London Transport Museum really is quite the unique space. Hear me out: you could be sipping cocktails among vintage red buses, trams, and early tube carriages, all while celebrating the season with your favourite people.

Plus, because Christmas is all about great pairings (mulled wine + mince pies, need I go on?), this year they’ve teamed up with Ripe Avocado. Think inclusive spirit, flawless service, and bundles of festive energy, all wrapped into party packages made for unforgettable nights alongside iconic Routemasters.

And the absolute cherry on top? Every guest is warmly welcomed into the enchanting Winter Woodland Santa’s Grotto. Happy yuletide to all!

The Clermont Charing Cross

Made for moments that matter.

The Clermont Charing Cross feels like it was always meant for Christmas. From the sweeping staircases to the glittering chandeliers, this historic hotel brings a sense of quiet grandeur to the heart of London, just moments from Trafalgar Square.

And with Charing Cross Station quite literally next door, it’s as convenient as it is characterful. No last-minute excuses. No long walks in the cold.

Inside, you’ll find spaces to suit every kind of celebration. The grand Ballroom is made for festive dinners and receptions, all high ceilings, warm lighting, and the kind of setting that makes everything feel just that little bit more special. Prefer something more intimate? Our private dining rooms are made for relaxed, close-knit gatherings.

Menus are created with care, blending festive favourites with just the right amount of sparkle. And with rooms on-site, guests can settle in and stay the night, no taxis or tubes required.

Everything you need for a festive celebration, done beautifully, and with ease.

National Maritime Museum

Where grandeur meets Christmas pizzazz

Sitting proudly in Greenwich, the National Maritime Museum combines eighteenth-century architecture with a jaw-dropping modern glass ceiling, making it one of London’s most striking festive backdrops.

Inside, you’ve got so many beautiful options: there’s the vast Oceans Court, flooded with natural light; the Ocean Map mezzanine, which can seat up to 550 for dinner; the Square, where your guests can sit amongst museum treasures and sip cocktails (or mocktails, they’re equally as delicious); or even the sweeping Colonnades, perfect for starlit strolls with views across Greenwich Park. Oh, and let’s not forget the Lawns (included with your hire), which are ideal for a frosty pre-dinner champagne moment.

And because Christmas is all about little gifts (preferably ones you don’t have to share), the Museum is offering a complimentary one-hour extension on all Christmas bookings — from 23:00 to 00:00 — worth over £1,000 + VAT. That’s one more hour of dancing, drinking, and singing Frosty the Snowman at the top of your lungs (just me?).

The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle

A central London celebration with festive flair

If Oxford Street twinkling with fairy lights is your idea of peak Christmas vibes (and of course it is, it’s a literal postcard image), then The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle might just be the dream. Conveniently located near Oxford Street (last-minute gift shoppers, I hear you), it’s a prime venue for those that want to toast their team whilst overlooking the city’s notable streetlights.

One of the absolute best parts about this space is, well, the space. The Hyde Park Suite can host up to 500 people beneath its chandeliers, while the classic Park Lane Ballroom is a tad more laid-back and traditional, with a high-ceilinged backdrop and, of course, built-in stage.

And at the end of the day, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland just a short wander away.

Tate Britain

Celebrate Christmas in timeless elegance

Finally, if you’re looking for a refined Christmas party setting, Tate Britain is pretty darn hard to beat. This magnificent Victorian gallery, with a collection spanning centuries of iconic British art, offers a seriously elegant backdrop for seasonal celebrations.

The Grand Saloon, with views of the Thames, is ideal for intimate receptions or dinners, while Gallery 9 surrounds guests with British masterpieces (can you imagine how illustrious a champagne reception here would be?). When the time comes for after-dinner drinks and dancing (arguably one of the best bits), the sleek Manton Foyer is the perfect place to keep the good vibes flowing.

It’s gorgeous, it’s elegant, and it’s ready to be booked for your perfect Christmas 2025 party event <3
