An away day is a great idea for rewarding your employees, whether it’s a corporate getaway or a more local affair. One idea is to hire out a venue entirely for your work away day, and we know a few venues – big and small – that are ideal for just that.
The Trampery once sat abandoned for many years, but has since been re-invigorated and transformed into a hub of innovation and creativity. The venue can be found in the heart of the city’s technology cluster, on Old Street, just a few minutes from the tube station of the same name. With several meeting spaces on offer that can accommodate anything from 4 to 250 people, it’s perfect for large away days where you would like the option to utilise smaller breakaway spaces. With striking design work and a modern aesthetic throughout, this is certainly a venue well worth considering.
The intimate feel at The Forge belies its surprisingly generous capacity. This very flexible Camden based venue has played host to a whole range of different event styles; everything from lunch meetings to workshops, so they know a thing or two about putting on a good corporate occasion. The kitchen and bar can take care of organising any food and drinks for the attendees, keeping everyone refreshed and refuelled throughout the event, whilst the bold, bright colours found within the décor and the eye-catching artwork are sure to help stimulate and inspire creativity.
BOUNCE Farringdon is the flagship venue in a new venture that’s proven very popular, having already been rolled out. This one, located in Holborn, is Europe’s first and largest social ping pong club, with 12,000 square feet of space on offer, which can accommodate up to 500 guests at a standing reception or 200 sitting theatre-style. Designed with business in mind, there is a 10 foot wide cinematic screen and an HD projector, perfect for presentations, with the main hall ideal for team building activities and networking. The nearest transport option is Chancery Lane, which sits just a stone’s throw away.
A tribute to the rich and storied history of the city’s famous Notting Hill, MODE is a West London venue that is nothing short of out of this world. It’s themed throughout in an ultramodern style known as ‘Future Vintage’, and pushes the accepted boundaries of traditional venues by accommodating absolutely every possible sort of event you could imagine. There’s a cocktail bar on the lower floor, and a mezzanine level that looks down on it all, with an old mock fighter plane hanging from the ceiling as a centerpiece. Covering more than 4,000 square feet of space, and easily hosting up to 650 guests, it’s a truly unforgettable away day event location. As MODE is situated just off of Portobello Road, it’s also easily accessible from either Ladbroke Grove or Westbourne Park, at five minutes of walking.
