Best Rooftop Bar Venues in London
Reading Time: 3 minutes

We’re in the height of summer and so there’s no better time to gather with friends and celebrate out in the open air. As such, here are some of London’s very best in the way of rooftop bars.

Century

CenturyCentury – which can also hold 200 guests per event – may seem somewhat understated upon initial glance but it is inside where you’ll find its true charm. This private members’ club on Shaftsbury Avenue, within the buzz of Soho, is spread across a total of 5 floors, comprising a restaurant, a cocktail lounge, a meeting room, a screening room and most importantly of all, the largest rooftop terrace in the whole of Soho. It can be easily reached form further afield, with both Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square underground stations a mere 4 minutes away each.

Roundhouse

Roundhouse and Rooftop GardensIf you fancy something a little grander, you could choose to host your gathering at the Roundhouse and Rooftop Gardens. It is situated just 20 minutes from Euston Station and 5 minutes from Camden Town, making it very well connected for those traveling from either within the city or out with London. This is a richly cultured venue, having historical beginnings as a repair shed for Victorian steam engines before developing into a performance venue that has attracted a mass of hugely renowned and wide ranging acts, from Jimi Hendrix to Lady Gaga.

The Driver

The Driver

The Driver is a unique venue in the heart of King’s Cross, and as such benefits from being so close to the tube and train station that shares the areas name. There are 4 floors here altogether and you can choose to hire them out either individually or all in one, depending on how much space you need for your particular gathering – but with a total capacity of 500, there should be more than enough room for all your friends to join the fun. The décor, both indoors and on the rooftop, is stylish and tasteful, and equally enjoyable food is available for you to sample on all floors. In terms of entertainment, the 3 DJ booths are sure to go down a storm.

Bird of Smithfield

Bird of Smithfield

The rooftop space at Bird of Smithfield has an easy-going vibe, perfect for a low-key and relaxed gathering of colleagues. No matter if the weather doesn’t hold up, there is plenty of great indoor space on offer here as well, including The Birdcage cocktail bar for up to 60 people, the 1st floor restaurant which seats 52, and the 2nd floor private room for soirees of up to 40 guests. Very well connected to the rest of the city, the likes of Barbican, Farringdon, St Paul’s and Blackfriars stations can all be reached comfortably on foot, so you needn’t worry about getting there.

Sushisamba

Located on the 38th and 39th floors at 110 Bishopsgate, SUSHISAMBA delivers a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, culture, music and striking design to London. The venue has the highest outdoor terraces in the UK, offering unparalleled views of London. The dynamic layout of the space offers an ideal setting for events both large and small.
