The best intimate live music venues in London

London has always had a fantastic music scene but for all the big name performers and grand venues on offer, sometimes it’s the smaller, more intimate experiences that leave the greatest lasting impression, allowing for a much more personal, special evening.

The Forge

The Forge

Found right in the very heart of Camden, The Forge is a flexible event space that is specifically tailored towards hosting smaller scale events for up to a maximum of 300 people. There is even on on-site kitchen and bar should you wish to organise any catering options for your guests. Its great location means it is also very well connected for those who need to travel, including Camden Town and Mornington Crescent which are both around 5 minutes away, as well as Camden Town overground and Camden Road train station which are also close by.

Stage 3

stage 3

On the corner of Hackney Town Hall Square is Stage 3, a modern split-level venue. It is already fully-equipped to hold live music events, as they have their very own carnival size PA system which will be at your disposal should you need it. Meanwhile, there are bespoke catering options available as well as cocktail specialists who are sure to keep your guests refreshed. The capacity allows for around 220 attendees, all of whom can make use of the plethora of nearby transport links, which include Hackney Central and London Fields stations.

Bermondsey Social Club

Bermondsey Social Club

Bermondsey Social Club takes its name from the area in which it sits, on a quiet London street away from the bustle of the city centre, near Southwark Park. It does however remain well connected to the rest of London, with Surrey Quays, Bermondsey and South Bermondsey stations all reachable within just 10 minutes or so on foot. Open 7 days a week with indoor and outdoor space available and a late license valid until 1 am, this charming 120 capacity venue tucked away beneath a railway arch is ideal for a small music event with a laidback vibe.
